HEEL PAIN
Heel pain has many different causes but the most common is referred to as plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is a thick band of connective tissue that runs from your heel along the bottom of your foot to the ball of your foot. This can become inflamed, causing pain; typically, after rest. For example, that first step in the morning when you get out of bed.
BUNIONS
Bunions are corrected through a minimally invasive technique using very small incisions to fix the bony abnormality. The patient is under local anesthesia, using our state of the art in office operating room. Many times no stitches are needed. Returning to normal activities is quicker with this type of surgery.
HAMMERTOES
Hammertoes are a contracture or bending of one or both joints of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th toes. This can result in the toes rubbing in the shoe, causing painful corns. The resulting deformity resembles a "hammer."
INGROWN TOENAILS
Ingrown toenails occur when the edge of the nail grows into the skin of the toe. This can result in infection or pain and swelling.
MORTON'S NEUROMA
A Morton's Neuroma is an enlargement of a sensory nerve between the toes and the bottom of the feet. This is a result of chronic irritation to the nerve from malfunction of the feet, poor shoes, overuse, or injury. The enlargement of the nerve can be accompanied by inflammation and resulting pain.
